Low-Light Handgun - APRIL 26th, 2025 - MIDLAND, TX

This is an intermediate level class. The student needs to know and be able to demonstrate safe gun handling, weapon system familiarity, marksmanship skills, and working from a holster. The majority of this course is designed around the use of handheld lights in conjunction with your handgun.

Firearms safety and range etiquette
Why Performance on Demand is Important
Single Hand Shooting Techniques
Handheld Light Techniques
Human eyes natural night vision
Weapon Mounted Light Techniques
Types of Flashlights and Their Features
Movement in low light
Malfunctions in low light
Reloading Techniques
Fixing Stoppages in the dark
Shooting around obstacles in the dark
Equipment Required:
Practical handgun
Minimum 500 Rounds of ammo
Rigid holster that safely retains handgun while moving and maintains shape when empty
Gun specific holster
Stiff belt capable of supporting handgun weight
Spare mags (one in gun, at least one for reloads)
Handheld flashlight meant for Tactical Use (No Utility Lights)
Weapon mounted light with suitable holster (optional)
2-4 ChemLights
Notebook and pen/marker
Eye and Ear Protection designed for shooting
